DAY 1 - BOARD THE INDIAN PACIFIC IN SYDNEY
Departing Sydney’s Central Station, get acquainted with your cabin and fellow travellers. Leaving city skylines and the fast-paced urban lifestyle behind, the Indian Pacific winds through the Blue Mountains with spectacular views to the left and right. Relax in your cabin or socialise in the lounge with a cup of coffee or afternoon tipple on request. Tonight, you will enjoy your first meal on board – a regionally inspired dinner paired with fine wine and beverages. After dinner, consider a nightcap in the lounge before you retire to your cabin.

DAY 2 - BROKEN HILL AND ADELAIDE
After breakfast, prepare for your first Off Train Experience in Broken Hill, the Silver City. Explore mining heritage through visiting the Broken Hill Trades Hall and the striking Miners Memorial that stands over the town or for a different take on Broken Hill, go on a tour of the main drag with fabulous local Drag Queen sensation, Shelita Buffet.
Art aficionados may opt to visit the captivating Living Desert Sculpture site or take in the exhibitions at the oldest regional art gallery in New South. Alternatively, ignite a sense of nostalgia at Bells Milk Bar, an icon of Broken Hill, sipping on malted milk while a performance by Cindy and Johnny takes you back to the 50’s.
Lunch is served back on board as the Indian Pacific enters the southern tip of the ancient Flinders Ranges.
Arriving in Adelaide in the late afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity for an Off Train Experience, exploring the South Australian Museum or indulging in an epicurean experience. Visit the Barossa Valley or McLaren Vale to sample fine South Australian wines before an indulgent meal, or try a cheese or gin tasting in the charming Adelaide Hills village of Hahndorf before feasting at Haus, Haus – a German restaurant showcasing the best in local produce. Alternatively, visit Adelaide Central Markets for a tour and exclusive sit-down dinner. After dinner, return to the train to continue your journey west.

DAY 3 - NULLARBOR PLAIN
Today is all about those amazing outback views as you cross this famous stretch of the Australian interior, the Nullarbor Plain, on the longest stretch of straight railway track in the world. En route, the Indian Pacific calls in to Cook, once-bustling, now almost-ghost town that was originally built as a support town for the railway.
Travelling further west, the next stop is at Rawlinna on the fringe of Australia’s largest sheep station for a signature dinner under a thousand stars (seasonal).

DAY 4 - PERTH
Admire the delightful undulations of the Avon Valley and enjoy a final breakfast on board as the final stage of your transcontinental crossing unfolds. On arrival in Perth, take the opportunity to say goodbye to fellow travellers and the crew. You’ve just crossed 4,352 kilometres together on the Indian Pacific.

Day 1 – Perth
Your afternoon begins with ta welcome gathering in celebration od the start of your journey across the country and along the world’s longest stretch of straight railway track.
Spend a relaxed afternoon getting to know you fellow traveller’s after you board the Indian Pacific and pull away from Perth, leaving the Indian Ocean behind and cruising toward the Pacific. Tonight, a delectable dinner is served on board, featuring contemporary Australian Cuisine with seasonal and regional flavours.

Day 2 – Kalgoorlie & Cook
Awake to see the sunrise unfold across Australia’s largest outback town, Kalgoorlie. This morning, we’ll delve into this mining towns fascinating past and present, with a visit to the regions gold-rush era, now modern-day, Super Pit mine. Decide how you ant to explore Kalgoorlie on your choice of Off Train Experience, including morning refreshments.
Reboarding the train mid-morning for brunch, the remainder of the day is on board at your leisure. Sit back and enjoy the hospitality as you take in spectacular views of the seemingly endless expanse of the Nullabor Plain. You’ll cross borders and time zones, entering South Australia before dinner. Late evening, the train will put into the almost-ghost-town of Cook for a nightcap, late-night bonfire and stargazing experience.

Day 3 – Barossa Valley
Spend the morning travelling through the pastoral lands and communities of remote South Australia as the Indian Pacific cruises past the Flinders Ranges, Spencer Gulf and the Adelaide Plains. Breakfast and lunch are both served on board. Mid-afternoon, the train pulls into Two Wells, where you’ll disembark and transfer in comfortable coaches for a short ride to the world-renowned, wine -producing region of the Barossa Valley. You’ll spend the evening at Seppeltsfield Winery, delighting in a signature dining experience in the vintage cellar.
A traditional ‘Firing of the Barrel’ display is part of the evening, as well as food and wine pairing curated by Executive Chef Owen Andrews, highlighting regional produce and traditional methods that reflect the story of the Barossa. Here, Platinum guests are also treated to a special 100 year old vintage Tawny tasting experience.
After dinner, you’ll return to the Indian Pacific, continuing your rail journey through the night.

Day 4 – Broken Hill
Crossing another border during the night, you’ll wake up in Broken Hill, New South Wales. Enjoy a hearty breakfast, ready for the day’s activities in the Silver City. You’ll have a choice of four Off Train Experiences, including guided history, art and cultural experiences that showcase the highlights of Australia’s first heritage-listed city.
Returning to the train for lunch, admire the scenery as the Indian Pacific travels through regional New South Wales. Tonight, dinner is served on board as you make the most of your final night exploring Australia by train.

Day 5 – Blue Mountains & Sydney
The Blue Mountains is known for its soaring sandstone ridges wrapped in native flora. This World Heritage-listed area marks your final stop before arriving in Sydney. Say goodbye to the Indian Pacific after breakfast, to travel deep into the mountains for this afternoon’s Off Train Experiences.
Scenic World includes four phenomenal mountain experiences, from the Scenic Skyway, which takes you over the ancient ravines, with 360-degree vistas to the Scenic Cableway that glides over the forest to the valley floor and the Scenic Railway, the steepest passenger railway in the world. Alternatively, stretch your legs on a guided walk with spectacular views from numerous lookouts along the trail. Both experiences end at Echo Point Lookout, perched on the edge of the escarpment in Katoomba, where a light lunch is served.
Complete your journey on our chartered New South Wales rail service (fully hosted by our crew) into Sydney Central Station. Alternatively, if you prefer to arrive in Sydney earlier, stay on board the Indian Pacific to travel directly to Sydney Central Station.

DAY 1 - ADELAIDE

Arrive in Broken Hill in the early hours of the morning and enjoy a choice of off train experiences exploring the historic mining town’s unique cultural and artistic attractions. Head back to the train for breakfast while you journey west and watch the scenery change from semi-arid scrub to the russet and ochre hues of the ancient rock formations of the Southern Flinders Ranges. Arrive in Adelaide by mid-afternoon.
