This 14-day tour covers Spain and Portugal's highlights. In Barcelona, we explore Gaudi’s works and enjoy a catamaran cruise. We visit Valencia, Granada’s Alhambra, and Seville’s cathedral. In Madrid, we see the Royal Palace, enjoy free time to explore at leisure and tuck into tapas. Then it's onwards to Portugal, where we explore Porto and take a river cruise, ride boats along the canals of Aveiro, and tour Coimbra’s university. We visit Batalha Monastery and Nazare, and end our journey in the capital, Lisbon.

Day 1 – Arrive Barcelona
Welcome to Barcelona. On arrival, transfer to your hotel before meeting your tour leader and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Meals: Dinner Overnight: Barcelona
Day 2 – Barcelona
Enjoy a guided city tour including Gaudí’s iconic modernist landmarks such as La Pedrera and Casa Batlló. Visit Montjuïc Park for panoramic views, see the Olympic Ring, Columbus Monument and Olympic Port, and explore the famous Sagrada Familia. Later, sail along Barcelona’s coastline on an included catamaran cruise with a drink and traditional tapa onboard. Afternoon at leisure. Meals: Breakfast Overnight: Barcelona
Day 3 – Barcelona → Peñíscola → Valencia
Travel along the Costa Dorada and Ebro Delta to the coastal town of Peñíscola, known for its historic castle and filming locations. Continue to Valencia and enjoy a traditional horchata tasting. Explore the old town and view the impressive City of Arts and Sciences complex. Meals: Breakfast Overnight: Valencia
Day 4 – Valencia → Granada
Journey south to Granada, set at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. This evening, enjoy a flamenco masterclass followed by dinner and a live flamenco performance. Afterwards, take in sweeping views from one of Granada’s scenic viewpoints. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight: Granada
Day 5 – Granada → Seville
Visit the magnificent Alhambra and Generalife Gardens before continuing through Andalusia’s olive groves and white villages to Seville. Enjoy dinner featuring traditional Andalusian cuisine. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight: Seville
Day 6 – Seville
Discover Seville on a guided tour including the Cathedral, Santa Cruz Quarter, Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de España. Afternoon at leisure to explore at your own pace. Meals: Breakfast Overnight: Seville
Day 7 – Seville → Córdoba → Madrid
Travel to Córdoba to visit the remarkable Mosque-Cathedral and explore the historic Jewish Quarter. Continue through the landscapes of La Mancha to Madrid. Evening at leisure. Meals: Breakfast Overnight: Madrid
Day 8 – Madrid
Join a guided tour of Madrid’s highlights including Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Royal Palace, Gran Vía, Salamanca district and Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Enjoy a traditional chocolate and churros tasting before gathering for a tapas dinner. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight: Madrid
Day 9 – Madrid → Salamanca → Porto
Cross into Portugal with a stop in historic Salamanca, a UNESCO-listed university city. Continue to Porto, one of Europe’s oldest riverside cities. Meals: Breakfast Overnight: Porto
Day 10 – Porto
Explore Porto on a guided tour including the Cathedral, Stock Exchange building and Santa Clara Church. Cruise the Douro River and enjoy a port wine tasting before an evening Fado performance with dinner. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight: Porto
Day 11 – Porto → Aveiro → Coimbra
Travel to Aveiro and cruise its canals aboard a traditional moliceiro boat. Continue to Coimbra for a guided tour of its historic university city centre. Meals: Breakfast Overnight: Coimbra
Day 12 – Coimbra → Batalha → Nazaré → Lisbon
Visit the UNESCO-listed Batalha Monastery before stopping in the coastal town of Nazaré. Continue to Lisbon and cross the Tagus River to Cacilhas for a seafood dinner (non-seafood options available). Meals: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight: Lisbon
Day 13 – Lisbon
