Day 1: Arrive Auckland (D) On arrival into Auckland you will be met by a Grand Pacific Tours representative and transferred to your hotel. This evening enjoy a complimentary pre-dinner drink as you meet your travelling companions. Hotel: Crowne Plaza Auckland
Day 2: Auckland – Bay of Islands (B,D) Board the luxurious Ultimate Coach and depart Auckland, travelling to Matakohe for a visit and informative talk at the Kauri Museum. Continue via Whangārei to Paihia in the heart of the Bay of Islands. Enjoy a guided tour of the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. Hotel: Scenic Hotel Bay of Islands (2 nights)
Day 3: Bay of Islands – Free Day (B) Today is free to explore the Bay of Islands. Optional activities include a Cape Reinga coach tour via Ninety Mile Beach, a scenic flight over the Bay of Islands, or sailing aboard a classic tall ship. This evening is at leisure with optional dining choices available. Hotel: Scenic Hotel Bay of Islands
Day 4: Bay of Islands – Auckland (B) This morning cruise to Cape Brett and the famous Hole in the Rock, keeping watch for dolphins and marine life. Return to Paihia before travelling south via Whangārei back to Auckland. This evening is free to dine at leisure. Hotel: Crowne Plaza Auckland
Day 5: Auckland – Rotorua (B,L,D) Enjoy a city sights tour of Auckland before travelling through picturesque countryside to Hobbiton. Enjoy a buffet lunch and guided tour of the movie set, including the Green Dragon Inn and an immersive Hobbit Hole interior experience. Hotel: Regent of Rotorua (2 nights)
Day 6: Rotorua (B,SD) Begin the day with a gondola ride and breakfast at Skyline Rotorua. Visit the Agrodome for an entertaining farm experience before free time this afternoon. Later, explore Te Puia’s geysers and mud pools, followed by a traditional Hāngi feast and Māori cultural performance. Hotel: Regent of Rotorua
Day 7: Rotorua – Napier (B,D) Travel along the Thermal Explorer Highway to Huka Falls and Lake Taupō before continuing to Napier, known as the Art Deco Capital. Enjoy a guided city commentary tour followed by free time this afternoon. Hotel: Scenic Hotel Te Pania
Day 8: Napier – Wellington (B,SD) Travel south to Wellington for a city tour of the capital. Visit Gallipoli: A Scale of War at Te Papa. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner with selected beverages. Hotel: InterContinental Wellington
Day 9: Depart Wellington (B) You will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight home after a memorable New Zealand holiday.
