Overview

The one that delivers a tropical blend of heavenly beaches, divine food and full moon fun!

Sparkling seas, white sands, historical hotspots, Croatia is the Mediterranean jewel that has it all. And there's no better way to experience this paradise than by island hopping your way from beach to beautiful bay. From the ancient hamlets of Hvar island and the Venetian architecture of Korcula to Dubrovnik’s iconic Old Town, we'll cruise along the Adriatic on our very own traditional sail boat, soaking up all those rays while we drift lazily under the cloudless skies. Bliss.

Why Contiki?

Contiki are the world leaders in organized youth travel. We’ve been providing amazing travel experiences for young travellers, from 18-35 years old, since 1962. Imagine how good you would be at something if you had been doing it for more than 60 years?

Everything about Contiki is deeply rooted in their two values ‘Make Every Moment Count’ and ‘We’re About People’. They don’t just talk, they walk the walk and live by their brand philosophy of ‘Travel. Focusing on 18-35 year olds allows Contiki to tailor a dramatically more powerful travel experience and an itinerary so fun it feels like all of your best Friday nights combined.

Itinerary

Day 1 | Split to Hvar

Split

Ready to kickstart your Croatia sail trip? This morning we'll meet in Split, boarding our boat with, you guessed it, boat loads of enthusiasm.

Hvar

After our first stint at sea we’ll arrive in the glamorous playground of Hvar, where big shiny boats meet grand historic architecture. Once you've taken in the sites, you will dine alfresco on board, it’s a tough day in paradise.

Stay: onboard Croatian Sail Boat (7 nights)

Meals: Lunch, Dinner

Day Highlights

Locally Sourced Meals as you Sail - We’ll feed you while you sail around Croatia. So you can just focus on getting the perfect sunset selfie.

The Ancient Highlights of Hvar - See the historical Hvar Spanish Fortress, Arsenal and St. Stephen's Square. Don’t forget your camera.

Day 2 | Hvar to Korčula

Hvar

Korčula may sit incredibly close to the mainland of Croatia but it's an island all of its own, which means we'll be slipping into island vibes accordingly.

Korčula

Hidden bars, peachy sunsets & cobbled streets by the beach, your appreciation for this country will be skyrocketing (even more if you choose to go on an epic buggy adventure today!)

Meals: Breakfast

Day Highlights

Visit Korčula's Fortified City - This 13th Century walled city is framed by terracotta-topped buildings, rugged mountain scenescapes and turquoise waters.

Day 3 | Korčula to Dubrovnik

Korčula

This morning we'll wake up in beautiful Korčula but we'll then be heading off to Dubrovnik. In the words of Bernard Shaw, acclaimed socialist & playwright, "those that seek paradise on earth should seek it in Dubrovnik." You heard the man - let's do this!

Dubrovnik

Welcome to Paradise. Home to rugged cliffs, lashing seas, historic buildings (and a tonne of Game of Thrones references.) Today you'll have the chance to explore Dubrovnik on foot with a local guide. Tonight, head for the nightlife of the Urban District. Partying not your thing? No biggie. There are plenty of local restaurants, bars and cafes for you to check out too!

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 4 | Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik

The city of Dubrovnik is so much more than just a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Game of Thrones location - not that either of those claims to fame are even mildly mediocre. Visit Dubrovnik's Old Town, The Minceta Tower and Fortress Lovrijenac - otherwise known as GoT's King's Landing, entrance to the House of the Undying and The Red Keep. Or grab a kayak and view the magnificent city walls from the turquoise sea.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 5 | Dubrovnik to Trstenik

Dubrovnik

You think we're done sailing around Croatia? Not a chance. This morning we'll sail past the palms, cypresses, olive trees, citrus plantations and colourful reefs of the Elaphite Islands.

Trstenik

As the sun sets, we'll dock at the unspoiled village of Trstenik. Here we'll have the chance to support and visit a family-owned winery and of course, sample some wine too. Then it's back to the boat for an optional Captain's dinner and a night of ship shenanigans.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 7 | Makarska to Split

Makarska

With one night left of the Mediterranean high life, we'll sail back to our starting point of Split.

Split

Now contented by our time at sea, we can relax & soak up the Roman heritage of this atmospheric city, revel in more Game of Thrones' filming locations and indulge in a final optional dinner in the heart of the historic city.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day Highlights

See Diocletian's Palace - Check out one of the best-preserved Roman buildings in the world. So beautiful, you’ll want to move in!

Day 8 | End Split

Split

There you have it, the astonishing beauty of Croatia and its cluster of islands. You probably always imagined you'd be blown away by it, but the new squad of life-long pals will be the real surprise.
