Airfare distribution is evolving – and the way your business books and manages flights is changing with it.

You may have heard the term NDC, or New Distribution Capability, being mentioned more often lately. It’s not just industry buzz – it’s a global shift and airlines worldwide are now distributing more of their fares through this modern channel.

At Phil Hoffmann Corporate Travel, we're already live and selling NDC content – ensuring our clients continue to enjoy the best fares, the best service, and zero disruption.

What is NDC, in simple terms?

NDC stands for New Distribution Capability – a global standard developed by IATA that modernises how airline content is shared with travel agents.

Until recently, airlines have relied on traditional Global Distribution Systems (GDS) to display fares and schedules. But these legacy systems are slow to adapt, making it difficult – and sometimes impossible – for travel agents to access the same content a customer might see on an airline’s website.

NDC changes that.

With NDC, airlines can now replicate their website content into travel agency channels, meaning more access to:

  • Special priced airfares and ancillaries (like seat selection or baggage)
  • Loyalty-based offers, customised by frequent flyer status
  • Further discounted prices for contracted clients

Qantas & the move to Premium NDC

As of July 2025, Qantas offers travel agents multiple ways to access its content – including Premium NDC, its most comprehensive and flexible option.

As a Qantas Premium NDC agent, Phil Hoffmann Corporate Travel offers:

  • Access to the full range of Qantas NDC content, including exclusive fares
  • Surcharge-free Qantas NDC bookings, regardless of your technology partner (PHCT booking fees apply)
  • Enhanced servicing capabilities beyond traditional booking systems

These offers are not always available through standard GDS channels – and often come with cost savings and richer content, offering more value for our clients.

What does this mean for your business?

If you’re a PHT client – you’re already set up and good to go.

You can:

  • Book Qantas NDC fares online via Zeno powered by Serko
  • Or book with our expert consultants who can access the same NDC fares and servicing capabilities
  • Enjoy greater transparency, customisation, and cost control across your business travel

This isn’t just about cheaper fares – it’s about having access to better options, with a seamless booking and servicing experience.

There’s nothing extra you need to do. We have taken care of this for you.

Looking ahead

While Qantas is currently leading the way in Australia, other airlines are expected to follow suit. That’s why we’re future-proofing your travel program now – so you're always ready for what’s next.

At Phil Hoffmann Corporate Travel, we believe business travel should be simple, transparent and flexible – and NDC is a major step toward that.
