Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive in London, England

Welcome to London.

Globus Hosts will be waiting to welcome you on arrival. Enjoy free time this afternoon to settle in and begin exploring the city at your own pace.

Day 2 – London

This morning, join a Local Guide for sightseeing through the heart of London.

See some of the capital’s most famous landmarks, including the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Whitehall, the Prime Minister’s residence at Downing Street, Piccadilly Circus and Buckingham Palace.

Visit magnificent St. Paul’s Cathedral, one of London’s most iconic historic landmarks. Please note the cathedral visit does not operate on Sundays.

The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy London.

Day 3 – London – Stonehenge – Ilminster – Plymouth

Meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers before departing London at 8am.

Travel to prehistoric Stonehenge, where you’ll explore the visitor centre and its fascinating exhibitions before viewing the mysterious ancient stone monument up close.

Continue to the charming market town of Ilminster and enjoy a welcome lunch at a local pub.

Later, travel to Plymouth for a scenic cruise on Plymouth Sound, one of the world’s great natural harbours. See the historic Mayflower Steps and discover the area’s rich maritime history, from the voyage of the Pilgrim Fathers aboard the Mayflower to the expeditions of Sir Francis Drake and Charles Darwin.

Day 4 – Plymouth – Excursion to Cornwall

Discover the spectacular landscapes of Cornwall on a scenic journey through England’s beautiful West Country.

Stop for photos of St. Michael’s Mount before continuing to the popular seaside resort of St. Ives.

The landscapes of Cornwall provided the setting for Winston Graham’s famous Poldark novels and offer some of England’s most dramatic coastal scenery.

Return to Plymouth and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 5 – Plymouth – Glastonbury – Bath – Cardiff, Wales

Travel to Glastonbury and hear the legends surrounding King Arthur and the Holy Grail.

Continue to the elegant Georgian city of Bath, where you’ll visit the fascinating Roman Baths. Explore the remarkably preserved remains of this ancient bathing complex before enjoying time to discover the city independently.

Later, travel into Wales and spend the night in Cardiff, the Welsh capital.

Day 6 – Cardiff – Waterford, Ireland

Journey through South Wales to the port of Fishguard.

Board your ferry and cross St. George’s Channel to Rosslare in Ireland.

Continue to Waterford, a historic city founded as a Viking stronghold in 853 and today renowned for its rich heritage and world-famous crystal.

Day 7 – Waterford – Blarney – Kinsale

Visit the House of Waterford Crystal and join a fascinating guided tour to see highly skilled craftspeople creating the brand’s famous crystal pieces.

Continue to Blarney, renowned for its legendary Kissing Stone. You may choose to visit Blarney Castle or spend time browsing for traditional Irish handicrafts.

Later, travel to the historic fishing port of Kinsale, known for its colourful streets, waterfront setting and celebrated food scene.

Enjoy time to explore Kinsale this evening.

Day 8 – Kinsale – Ring of Kerry – Killarney

Experience the spectacular landscapes of County Kerry with a panoramic drive around part of the famous Ring of Kerry.

Take in sweeping coastal scenery, mountains, sparkling waters and colourful farmhouses as you journey through one of Ireland’s most beautiful regions.

Continue to Killarney, where tonight you’ll enjoy dinner at a local restaurant accompanied by traditional Irish music.

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Killarney.

Explore this vibrant town at your own pace or discover more of the surrounding natural beauty.

Nearby Killarney National Park is renowned for its rugged mountains, woodlands, waterfalls and beautiful lakes, with historic Ross Castle overlooking the water.

Day 10 – Killarney – Dingle Peninsula – Adare – Limerick

Travel around the spectacular Dingle Peninsula and visit the Blasket Islands Centre.

Learn about life on the remote Blasket Islands and the communities who called them home before the islands were evacuated in 1953.

Continue to the picturesque village of Adare, renowned for its traditional thatched cottages and charming streets.

Later, travel to Limerick for your overnight stay.

Day 11 – Limerick – Cliffs of Moher – Galway – Sligo

Visit the magnificent Cliffs of Moher, rising more than 200 metres above the Atlantic Ocean.

Take in extraordinary views across the Wild Atlantic Way before travelling through the distinctive limestone landscape of The Burren.

Continue to Galway, a lively coastal city known for its colourful shops, cafés, pubs and welcoming atmosphere.

Later, travel north to the coastal seaport of Sligo.

Day 12 – Sligo – Derry, Northern Ireland – Giant’s Causeway – Belfast

Travel into Northern Ireland and visit Derry, the country’s second-largest city and one of Europe’s finest examples of a completely walled city.

Continue to the spectacular Giant’s Causeway on Northern Ireland’s dramatic northern coast.

Discover approximately 40,000 interlocking basalt columns created by volcanic activity millions of years ago and hear the legends surrounding the mythical Irish giant Finn McCool.

Later, continue to Belfast, Northern Ireland’s capital.

Day 13 – Belfast – Carlingford – Dublin, Ireland

Begin with an orientation drive through Belfast, seeing landmarks including City Hall, the Albert Memorial Clock Tower and Queen’s University.

Visit the Titanic Belfast Experience and discover the fascinating story of the legendary ocean liner, from its construction in Belfast and launch to its tragic maiden voyage in April 1912.

Cross back into Ireland and stop in the charming seaside town of Carlingford on the Cooley Peninsula.

Continue to Dublin.

Discover Ireland’s capital on a morning orientation drive.

See O’Connell Street, Dublin’s elegant Georgian squares, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Trinity College.

Day 15 – Dublin – North Wales – Liverpool, England

Board your ferry from Ireland to North Wales.

Stop for a photo in the famously named Welsh village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll before continuing on a scenic drive through North Wales.

Cross into England and travel to Liverpool, where the evening is yours to enjoy at leisure.

Day 16 – Liverpool – Grasmere – Gretna Green, Scotland – Glasgow

Begin the day with a visit to The Beatles Story, where you’ll journey through the lives, music and extraordinary success of Liverpool’s legendary Fab Four.

Continue through the beautiful Lake District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and stop in Grasmere, a village closely associated with poet William Wordsworth.

Taste the famous original Grasmere Gingerbread, first created by Victorian cook Sarah Nelson in 1854.

Travel north to the Scottish border and stop at Gretna Green, famous for the runaway weddings once performed by the village blacksmith.

Continue to Glasgow.
