Singapore is a destination that has worn many hats throughout its rich history. From a collection of ancient fishing villages to a British Colony along the valuable China and British India trade route, to one of the economic powerhouses of the world. Singapore’s embrace of modernity is evident in its commitment to innovation, urban development and cultural preservation. Green spaces permeate the city in the form of parks, open spaces, and vertical gardens integrated into modern building planning. In embracing the new and modern, Singapore has not lost its historical culture, preserving many of the different settlements and enclaves from its settlement. Each enclave has unique architecture, flavours, sights and sounds to discover.

Itinerary
Day 1: Sunday 7 March 2027
Depart Australia for Singapore.
On arrival to Singapore transfer to the Paradox Merchant Court Hotel – home for the next few days in Singapore.
Tonight enjoy a welcome buffet dinner at Ellenborough Market Café, an extensive spread of local and international fare sure to satisfy the pickiest of eaters. (D)
Spend today exploring some of Singapore’s historical districts and enclaves. Sitting on the fringes of the ultra-modern financial heart of the city, these heritage districts are bustling and colourful reminders of Singapore’s multi-cultural origins.
Little India began with Indian settlers moving onto an old racecourse and rearing cattle. Now it is a bustling area with streets lined with pastel-coloured shops, flower stalls and eateries.
Kampong Glam is the oldest urban quarter in Singapore, originally allocated to the Malay, Arab and Bugis communities for residences. Easily the most identifiable landmark of Kampong Glam is the Masjid Sultan, one of the most prominent places of worship for Muslims in Singapore.
Joo Chiat is a district full of lines of colourful, historical Peranakan houses, with some of the best local eateries to be found in Singapore. Look out for the Sri Senpaga Vinayagar Temple built in the 19th century to honour Lord Ganesha for the local Hindu community.
Lunch will be in a local Chinese restaurant today – an opportunity to sample more of Singapore’s diverse food scene.
This afternoon cruise the Singapore River aboard a restored traditional bumboat for a completely different perspective on the river and Marina Bay area. Finish the afternoon by trying the national drink, the Singapore Sling, at the Raffles Long Bar. This evening is free to further explore Singapore. Perhaps take a short stroll to Clarke Quay or Boat Quay, where locals and tourists alike are spoiled for choice with many mouth-watering international cuisines. (B, L)
Day 3: Tuesday 9 March 2027
Today will be spent exploring the Marina Bay area. Entry tickets are included for both the Cloud Forest and Flower Domes with plenty of free time to explore at leisure.
The Cloud Forest Dome is home to one of the world’s tallest indoor waterfall cascading down a mountain clad with plants from around the world. The aerial walkways allow visitors to get up and close with some of the world’s most unique and exotic plant-life in a carefully controlled micro-climate.
The Flower Dome currently holds the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest greenhouse. Spend time exploring all the different zones in the dome, from Mediterranean, to South American, the Succulent Garden, and more.
Later, head over to the Supertree Grove, the tallest of which reaches 16-stories in the air. Each tree acts as a vertical garden, housing more than 200 species of plants between them. Continue to Hopscotch Bar to enjoy lunch before ascending the Marina Bay Sands Observation Deck for near 360o views of the city from 56 storeys high. The information boards around the periphery provide information about Singapore’s past and present. (B, L)
Day 4: Wednesday 10 March 2027
Head to the Tanglin District this morning for a visit to the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Spend time exploring the Gardens, founded in 1859, and the first UNESCO Heritage Site in Singapore. Orchids have always been closely associated with the gardens, and the success of the Gardens’ breeding programme led to the creation of the Orchid Garden as a place to show off many of their best works. The Orchid Garden displays more than 1500 species, and 3000 hybrids in a mix of outdoor landscapes, and indoor climate-controlled displays. (B)
Day 5: Thursday 11 March 2027
Enjoy a free day to further explore Singapore today. Hop-on hop-off bus passes are included and stop off at many of the city’s big attractions to make getting around the city a breeze. (B)

Later this evening, enjoy a 30 minute rotation on the Singapore Flyer, reaching heights of 165 metres above the city and offering spectacular views of the downtown area and beyond.
