Born and raised in Germany, the rest of Europe was very accessible to me. Having family members in the travel industry meant travelling the world from a very young age.

My family migrated to Australia in 1998. With my passion for travel rapidly growing, I studied tourism and was adopted into the Phil Hoffmann Travel family in 2007 as a junior consultant and have never looked back. The travel industry was, is and always will be my destiny!

I am now the Manager at Semaphore and could not imagine myself anywhere else. The team at Phil Hoffmann Travel are like my extended family, as are the many repeat clients I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know over the years.

I love immersing myself in different cultures, giving back to communities, hosting Phil Hoffmann Travel travellers and helping my clients to make memories that will last a life time.

travel tips

  • To give your taste buds a whole new flavour experience, try a Waldmeister White Beer when in Germany. Waldmeister is a sweet woodruff with fragrant, dark green leaves that are used to flavour sweets such as jelly, puddings, syrups and also beer. Its flavour is unlike anything that can be found in Australia.
  • When travelling to Africa, take a little something with you to give to the communities and children you see along the way. Anything from koala souvenirs, crayons, pencils, note pads, hair clips etc. will go a long way. Chocolates and sweets are best avoided due to limited dental hygiene facilities. The smiling faces and appreciation you receive will stay with you forever!

Staying in the Serengeti National park, hearing the lions roar and the hippos grunt just outside our luxury safari camp tent was surreal. Seeing most of the big 5 animals in their natural habitat is an experience I will treasure for a lifetime. Topped off with a hot air balloon ride over the vast rolling plains of the Serengeti.
