Hoi An (Vietnam) for its lantern-lit streets, vibrant markets, and rich cultural heritage.

Biggest travel tip:

Carry small change for public toilets: Across Europe, many public toilets charge a small fee (usually €1–€2), and not all accept credit cards. Keep a few coins on hand, especially in busy tourist areas, train stations and parks.

Most memorable travel experience: 

Visiting Ephesus in Türkiye to explore its remarkable ruins, while discovering its legacy as a thriving cultural and commercial centre and one of the world’s best-preserved archaeological sites.

What is your bucket list destination and why?

Silk Road - especially Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan. I’d love to explore the history, culture and landscapes across these countries, from ancient cities to wide-open deserts.
