Julie Bray Accountant & Business Advisor
How many countries have you travelled to: 21 countries.
How long have you been in the travel industry: over 20 years
Favourite destination you have travelled to:
I have 3.
1 – I had the most amazing opportunity to host a Canada and Alaska group in 2019. Each day the scenery was more breathtaking. Just a beautiful part of the world.
2 – Tuscany – Our farm stay amongst the vines and olive trees allowed us to relax and enjoy the local cuisine. My husband and I love Italy – the food & wine, the people and the scenery.
3 – France – had an amazing trip watching my daughter run the Paris marathon then spending time in beautiful Saint Emilion amongst the vines of the Bordeaux wine region.
Most memorable travel experience:
I have 2
1 - Croatia – I hosted to group to Croatia from Dubrovnik to Venice. We explored the many islands and mainland while cruising on the Emerald Azzurra Super Yacht. A very special experience with a great group of people.
2 – Hawaii – did the 7 night cruise of the Hawaiian islands – the best way to see and get a taste of each island without unpacking. I did this trip with my mum which made it extra special.
Biggest travel tip:
1 - Pack light
2 - if possible, minimize the days of travelling within a holiday. Each day you travel, you lose a day of your holiday. That is why cruising is such a great option. Especially at the end of your holiday.
What is your bucket list destination and why?
Ireland – the pubs and their love of music. Would be great to spend a couple of weeks exploring to soak up the atmosphere and countryside.
Spain and Portugal – Have only been to Barcelona so would love to see more. Would consider doing the Douro River cruise as a way of travelling through this region.
travel tip:
- Internal travel bags (packing cells) from Go Travel – they keep your suitcase organised!
