PHT, in collaboration with Adventure World, have been inspired by the incredible work of Animals Asia and their dedication to rescuing long suffering bile bears, and providing them life-long care and freedom in their award-winning sanctuaries, with a mission to end the suffering of the bear bile industry in Asia. To support this, PHT are now the Bear Guardian of Twilight and Kindness, once-exploited Moon bears now thriving in a new chapter of her life.

With your support, we can help our next bear, by donating or visiting Animals Asia's Vietnam sanctuary, where love and care provide a second chance at life.

Meet Kindness

Female - 19 Years Old - In Tam Dao, Vietnam

Kindness is an easy-going, active, playful, confident, friendly bear. She has two special friends, Leo and Bear, and she loves spending time with them both.

She’ll wrestle with Leo many times throughout the day and take rests chilling with Bear on their favourite hammock.

Kindness also loves the pool and venturing around the outdoor enclosure to look for enrichment items to play with like piles of leaves and puzzle feeders.

Kindness has a beautiful smile, a gorgeous thick and shiny coat and a stunning golden crescent on her chest.

Kindness' Story

Kindness was rescued from a bile farm in the northern province of Ha Nam in August 2023.

She was the last bear on the last bile farm in the province. She arrived at our sanctuary with many health issues after spending nearly two decades in a cage.

She had a deformed toe that was infected, painfully dry and cracked paw pads, and claws that had grown so long they were just about to pierce her paw pads. She had spondylosis in her spine, an aortic aneurysm and bleeding into her retinas due to chronic hypertension. She also had a fractured canine tooth buried under a thick layer of calculus.

Now, after intensive veterinary treatment including a root canal, she’s doing well, and is happy, and loved, and enjoying sanctuary life with her new friends.

With your help, we can help raise vital funds by donating or visiting Twilight and Kindness at their sanctuary, accessible exclusively through Animals Asia’s partnership with Adventure World.
