Explore one of the world’s last great wilderness frontiers on an 11-day luxury yacht expedition from Darwin to Broome.
Sailing aboard the intimate Emerald Xara, this voyage reveals the Kimberley coast at its most dramatic – a remote landscape shaped by powerful tides, red-rock gorges and some of the oldest living culture on Earth. Cruise beneath the towering cliffs of the King George River to the twin King George Falls, see ancient Gwion Gwion rock art at Vansittart Bay and Swift Bay, and wind along the mangrove-lined Hunter River, with optional helicopter flightseeing over the tiered Mitchell Falls.
Watch Montgomery Reef rise from the sea as the tide falls away, witness the tidal surge of Horizontal Falls in Talbot Bay, and step ashore at Careening Bay to see the historic ‘Mermaid Boab Tree’. Zodiac excursions through the Lacepede Islands bring rare seabird and turtle encounters before the journey ends in Broome, home of the famous Cable Beach sunset.
With an Explorer Team of up to eight experts on board, included excursions, EmeraldPLUS cultural experiences and complimentary drinks, Wi-Fi and gratuities, every detail is taken care of.
