Day 1: Wednesday 20 October 2027 

Stay: Movenpick Hotel Hobart – 4 nights* 

Fly from Adelaide to Hobart, be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. (D)

Day 2: Thursday 21 October 2027

Today, enjoy a guided exploration of Hobart’s highlights. Wander through the charming historic streets of Battery Point and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of Salamanca Place’s waterfront. Continue to the tranquil Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens before arriving at picturesque Constitution Dock. Later, take in sweeping panoramic views from Mount Nelson Lookout, overlooking the Derwent River and surrounding landscapes. The afternoon is free to enjoy at leisure. (B)

Day 3: Friday 22 October 2027

This morning, discover the dramatic coastal landscapes of the Tasman Peninsula, where natural formations such as Tasman’s Arch, Devil’s Kitchen and the Blowhole reveal the raw power of the Southern Ocean. Continue to the Port Arthur Historic Site and step back in time as you explore the haunting ruins and hear stories of life within this former penal settlement. A guided convict tour offers deeper insight, followed by a boat visit to the Isle of the Dead Cemetery. Return to Hobart, with the afternoon at leisure. (B,D)

Day 4: Saturday 23 October 2027

Enjoy a relaxed morning exploring the vibrant Salamanca Market, and browse the array of fresh local produce, handcrafted goods, and artisan creations. In the afternoon, take a scenic ferry cruise along the Derwent River to the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA). This world-renowned museum captivates and challenges with its bold and thought provoking collections. After, return to Hobart by ferry, and the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. (B)

Day 5: Sunday 24 October 2027

Stay: Strahan Village, Strahan – 2 nights* 

This morning, depart Hobart and journey into Tasmania’s pristine wilderness. Visit beautiful Russell Falls, where cascading waters flow through lush rainforests, before continuing through the scenic landscapes of Mount Field National Park. Discover the remarkable Wall in the Wilderness, where intricately carved timber panels bring the region’s history to life, then pause at the tranquil shores of Lake St Clair, Australia’s deepest freshwater lake. Continue west to the charming coastal town of Strahan. (B,L,D)

Day 6: Monday 25 October 2027

Enjoy a stunning morning cruise across Macquarie Harbour and into the tranquil Gordon River. Glide past ancient Huon pine trees, some thousands of years old, and take a heritage walk to experience these remarkable forests up close. Explore the haunting remains of the historic three story jail on Sarah Island, then witness the narrow entrance to the harbour, famously known as Hells Gates. Return to Strahan mid-afternoon for some free time. (B,L,D)

Day 7: Tuesday 26 October 2027

Stay: Novotel Devonport, Devonport – 1 night* 

Today, experience the alpine beauty of Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair National Park. A guided tour introduces the region’s unique flora, fauna, and striking glacial landscapes. After lunch, visit Devils @ Cradle for an engaging wildlife experience, gaining insight into the conservation of the iconic Tasmanian devil. Then leave the highlands behind and descend through ever-changing scenery towards the north coast. Late afternoon, arrive in the charming township of Sheffield, known as the “Town of Murals,” where vibrant artworks bring local stories and history to life. Afterwards, travel to the coastal city of Devonport. (B,L)

Day 8: Wednesday 27 October 2027 

Stay: Peppers Silo Launceston – 2 nights* 

Begin the day with a guided tour at the House of Anvers Chocolate Factory and discover the art of fine chocolate-making. Enjoy a rich traditional hot chocolate and tastings that showcase the craftsmanship of this much-loved Tasmanian chocolatier. Continue to the Ashgrove Cheese Factory for a delicious tasting experience, paired with wine, which will highlight the flavours of the locally produced cheeses. Then visit 41° South Tasmania, an eco-certified salmon and ginseng farm renowned for its sustainable, low-impact practices. In the afternoon, explore the Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre and uncover the fascinating stories of the region’s rich mining history. (B,L,D)

Day 9: Thursday 28 October 2027 

Today, visit one of Launceston’s most iconic attractions, Cataract Gorge. Take a return ride on the scenic chairlift, high above the gorge and enjoying sweeping views of rugged cliffs, river waters, and landscaped gardens below. Afterwards, visit Josef Chromy Wines for a relaxed lunch accompanied by local wines. In the afternoon, step back into colonial history at Woolmers Estate with a guided tour of the homestead, followed by time to explore the grounds. (B,L)

Day 10: Friday 29 October 2027

Stay: Beachfront Bicheno – 1 night* 

This morning, visit the Bridestowe Lavender Estate and enjoy their famous lavender and blueberry scones. Afterwards, pause and reflect at the Legerwood Carved Memorial Trees, where intricately carved tree trunks stand as a moving tribute to local soldiers. After lunch, continue along Tasmania’s stunning east coast, passing through the seaside town of St Helens before stopping at the spectacular Wineglass Bay Lookout. From this vantage point, be rewarded with one of Australia’s most iconic coastal views, where turquoise waters curve around white sands. (B,L,D)

Day 11: Saturday 30 October 2027

Stay: Movenpick Hotel Hobart – 1 night* 

Today, travel inland to the historic village of Ross. Visit the Tasmanian Wool Centre and gain insight into the region’s pastoral heritage through guided and self-guided exhibits. Continue to Richmond, and visit the charming Old Hobart Town Model Village, where detailed miniature scenes bring colonial Tasmania to life. Afterwards, return to Hobart later tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Booking Forms and Booking Conditions You are required to complete some forms when booking which provide essential information we require to process your booking. Passport & Visas It is necessary for all passengers to be in possession of a valid passport which has at least 6 months validity beyond your return into Australia. Visas are not required for Australian passport holders. Minimum Numbers Group fares quoted for this tour are subject to a minimum of 10 paying and maximum 24 passengers travelling together. Phil Hoffmann Travel reserves the right to increase the tour price or cancel the tour should the numbers travelling not meet the required minimum. Tour Escort Escort travels when minimum numbers of 10 are reached. Price Alterations Tour prices specified are based on airfares, taxes and land arrangement tariffs applicable at the time of printing, therefore they may be subject to alteration with or without prior notice until final payment date, as per brochure final payment date. Extensions/stopovers An amendment fee may apply for any changes to group flight arrangements. You may also need to pay any additional applicable taxes. Group Flights – Seat Selection For seat selection, please ensure that requests are submitted in advance to secure preferred seating arrangements. Availability is subject to the airline’s policies, and additional charges may apply for specific seat preferences. If you have any special seating requirements, such as extra legroom, aisle seats, or assistance-related seating, please notify us as soon as possible. We will coordinate with the airline to accommodate your request. Airlines do reserve the right to change a passenger's seat at any time, even if the seat has been paid for in advance due to various reasons. Special Assistance To ensure a smooth travel experience, all wheelchairs and walking aids must be provided to the Groups Department team for coordination with the airline. Kindly ensure the following details are submitted: • Brand of the wheelchair or walking aid • A clear photo of the item • Weight of the item • Dimensions (Height, Width, Depth) Amendments/changes There may be fees charged per amendment by third party suppliers for any reservation changes after your booking is confirmed. Twin share Room Match Policy In the event of a cancellation for a twin share room match, the travelling passenger may be required to pay for a single room supplement cost, which will not be covered under their travel insurance policy. Similarly, if a traveler decides whilst travelling that they do not want to share any longer, they will be required to pay the full costs for a single room. Refunds/Credits No refund is available in respect of any sightseeing tours, accommodation, meals or any other services not utilized or required during this tour. No refund is available for cancellations after the tour has commenced. Cancellations Cancellations of confirmed bookings will be subject to a $400 per person service fee plus any charges imposed by principals involved in operating the tour. Therefore, the cancellation fee may be up to the total cost for land and/or airfares. Cancelled bookings are non-transferable. Baggage Please refer to individual airline tickets for the baggage allowance for your flights. Airlines may charge you for baggage in excess of these allowances, which will be at passenger’s expense. Whilst on tour one main bag and 1 piece of hand luggage per person is allowed. Medical Advice It is wise to seek medical advice before travelling from a travel specialist doctor, or from your own GP. Travelers must meet Phil Hoffmann Travel ’Statement of Fitness’ standards to participate. Insurance Insurance is compulsory to cover against loss of deposit and loss of airfares, personal accident, medical cover etc. If you have an ongoing medical condition, you may be required to complete a pre-existing medical form. If you are over 70 years of age, you are required to complete a senior’s medical form. Your consultant will provide all the details. Children Participants must be over the age of 15. Responsibility Phil Hoffmann Travel reserves the right to alter or omit any part of the itinerary or change of reservation, features and/or means of conveyance without any notice and for any reason whatsoever. Phil Hoffmann Travel does not accept liability for failure on the part of transportation companies, hotel contractors and other principals whose responsibility is confined to their own operations. Phil Hoffmann Travel reserves the right to alter hotels used should the necessity arise. The transportation companies or firms shall be exempt from all liabilities in respect of any detention, delay, loss, damage, sickness or injury and by whom so ever caused and whatever kind occurring of or to the passenger at any time when the passenger is not on board a conveyance used or operated by the transportation companies or firms. We reserve the right to take any reasonable action should your health, actions or behavior impinge on the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other passengers. Phil Hoffmann Travel reserves the right to cancel or withdraw any person as a member of the tour at any time.
