Day 1 | Venice Arrive in Venice and explore at leisure before meeting your fellow travellers for a welcome drink.
Day 2 | Venice Discover traditional Venetian gondola craftsmanship with a visit to one of the city’s few remaining boatyards. Enjoy a classic Venetian spritz and aperitivo at a local café, followed by an afternoon at leisure.
Day 3 | Venice → Dozza → Romagna Countryside Depart Venice for the colourful hilltop village of Dozza, known for its murals and medieval castle. Continue to the Romagna countryside for a three-night stay at a wine resort. Tour the winery and enjoy dinner paired with estate wines.
Day 4 | Romagna Countryside → San Marino → Romagna Countryside Visit the Republic of San Marino, perched atop Mount Titano, with free time to explore its historic Old Town and fortifications. Return to the resort for a hands-on pasta-making class followed by dinner.
Day 5 | Romagna Countryside → Ravenna → Romagna Countryside Discover Ravenna on a guided walking tour, admiring its remarkable Byzantine mosaics and historic monuments. Return to the wine resort for a wine-paired dinner.
Day 6 | Romagna Countryside → Urbino → Pesaro Journey into the Marche region and visit Urbino, birthplace of Renaissance painter Raphael. Explore the impressive Ducal Palace before continuing to the seaside town of Pesaro for a two-night stay.
Day 7 | Pesaro → Marche Countryside → Pesaro Join a local truffle hunter and his dogs in search of the region’s prized truffles, followed by an organic farm-to-table lunch. Return to Pesaro for an afternoon at leisure.
Day 8 | Pesaro → Gran Sasso Travel into the Abruzzo Mountains to the medieval village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio. Stay in a unique albergo diffuso and enjoy a hands-on cheese and bread-making experience followed by dinner.
Day 9 | Gran Sasso Take a scenic drive across the Campo Imperatore plateau and enjoy traditional arrosticini lamb skewers. Later, choose between a guided village walking tour or a challenging four-hour mountain hike to Rocca Calascio.
Day 10 | Gran Sasso → Tirino River → Rome Canoe along the crystal-clear Tirino River before continuing to Rome. Arrive in the late afternoon for a two-night stay in the Eternal City.
Day 11 | Rome Explore Rome’s medieval district on a guided walking tour and ascend the Vittoriano for panoramic views across the Roman Forum and Colosseum. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure before a farewell dinner.
