Day 2 | Arrive Vienna
Welcome to Vienna! The Austrian capital is an elegant European city that effortlessly blends imperial grandeur with modern vibrancy, captivating visitors at every turn. Vienna's rich cultural heritage, shaped by centuries of royalty and artistry, is reflected in its stunning architecture, which tells a fascinating story at every corner. Often ranked as one of the most liveable cities in the world, Vienna's unique atmosphere and cultural charm are sure to leave an impression. As the home of legendary composers like Mozart, Beethoven and Strauss, their influence still echoes throughout Vienna's world-renowned concert halls and opera houses.
This evening, meet fellow travellers and the Tour Director for a welcome drink at the hotel and raise a glass to the adventure ahead.
Day 3 | Vienna
The best of Vienna awaits today with a guided walking tour through this magnificent city, admiring its Baroque architecture and visiting St Stephen's Cathedral. Step inside the Romanesque and Gothic cathedral, known as the mother church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese, and learn about its significant history. The walking tour concludes near Schwedenplatz ("Sweden Square"), where free time is provided for snacks and coffee. Be sure to try the Sachertorte, a dense chocolate sponge cake with a layer of apricot jam — a proud symbol of the Austrian capital. Continue to the Schönbrunn Palace Grounds, the former summer residence of the Habsburgs. Here, perfectly manicured gardens stretch as far as the eye can see, fountains shimmer in the sunlight and grand pathways invite a leisurely stroll.
Return to the hotel later this afternoon, with time to freshen up before gathering for a welcome dinner.

Day 4 | Vienna – Gmunden – Salzburg
After breakfast, depart on a scenic drive to the lakeside town of Gmunden, where alpine views and shimmering waters set the tone for the day ahead. The first stop is the enchanting Schloss Ort Castle, perched on its own tiny island in Lake Traunsee. It is a picture-perfect setting straight out of a fairytale. Continue to Strobl, where the scenery becomes even more spectacular. Board a leisurely cruise across Lake Wolfgangsee to the delightful town of St. Wolfgang im Salzkammergut. With its colourful facades, flower-filled balconies and mountain backdrop, it is easy to see why this charming village is so beloved. Enjoy free time to wander, soak up the atmosphere or simply relax by the water. Journey onward to Salzburg, with more postcard-worthy views unfolding along the way. This evening, arrive in Austria's fourth-largest city. Famous as Mozart's birthplace and a filming location for The Sound of Music, Salzburg offers a vibrant arts scene and delectable cuisine within a breathtaking setting of fairytale-like buildings, landscaped parks and quaint side streets.

Trace the footsteps of Julie Andrews on a Sound of Music tour, discovering the famous sights associated with the iconic film. Visit Mirabell Gardens and Pegasus Fountain, where Maria and the children sing Do-Re-Mi, along with Hellbrunn Palace Gardens and St Michael's Church in Mondsee. See the Benedictine Nonnberg Abbey, St. Gilgen and Lake Wolfgangsee, where the movie's breathtaking opening scenes were filmed.
The remainder of the day is at leisure. Wander Salzburg's Old Town, visit Mozart's birthplace, take the funicular to Hohensalzburg Fortress for panoramic views or relax in a traditional café.

Day 6 | Salzburg – Eagle’s Nest – Innsbruck
This morning, travel to the historic town of Berchtesgaden, where a fascinating underground adventure awaits. At the Berchtesgaden Salt Mines, discover the region's long-standing connection to "white gold", which once brought great wealth to the area. Before continuing through the alpine scenery, visit the infamous Eagle's Nest, or Kehlsteinhaus as it is locally known. Built as a teahouse for Adolf Hitler during the Third Reich era, the structure sits high atop a rocky outcrop and represents a remarkable engineering feat. Access is gained via a 100-metre-long tunnel leading into the mountain, followed by an elevator ride to the summit. Continue on to Innsbruck, nestled in the heart of the Tyrol region and framed by towering peaks.
The evening is at leisure, with time to explore independently or enjoy dinner at a local restaurant with spectacular mountain views.

Day 7 | Innsbruck
Discover the highlights of Innsbruck on a guided city tour this morning. Set against the dramatic Alps, this charming Tyrolean city combines imperial history with a relaxed mountain atmosphere. Explore the Old Town, admire the famous Golden Roof, the grand Imperial Palace and the colourful facades lining the cobblestone streets. Visit the Swarovski Crystal Worlds Museum, a dazzling and imaginative space dedicated to the art of crystal.
The remainder of the afternoon and evening is at leisure. Consider taking a cable car into the surrounding mountains, wandering the Old Town or enjoying a slice of traditional strudel in a cosy café.

Day 8 | Innsbruck – Merano – St. Moritz
After breakfast, farewell Austria and travel to the spa town of Merano in northern Italy. Upon arrival, enjoy time for lunch and the opportunity to relax with an espresso from a local café while admiring the alpine surroundings. Merano is also home to chic boutiques and local artisan shops. Later, cross into Switzerland and travel through the beautiful Engadin Valley, stopping at Morteratsch Glacier for a photo opportunity. One of the largest glaciers in the Eastern Alps, it offers spectacular views of the Bernina Range, including Piz Bernina and Piz Palü.
Early this evening, arrive in the world-renowned alpine resort town of St. Moritz, host of the Olympic Winter Games in 1928.

Day 9 | St. Moritz – Tirano – St. Moritz
This morning, board the legendary Bernina Express, one of the most scenic rail journeys in the world. Travel through breathtaking alpine landscapes of snow-capped peaks, glacial valleys and winding mountain passes. Upon arrival in the Italian town of Tirano, enjoy free time to explore the charming streets, browse local shops or relax in a café. Later, gather as a group to enjoy an Aperol Spritz before reboarding the Bernina Express for the return journey to St. Moritz.
The evening is at leisure. Enjoy a stroll around Lake St. Moritz, dine on refined Swiss cuisine or unwind with a drink while taking in the mountain views.

Day 10 | St. Moritz – Swiss Alps – Zermatt
After breakfast, farewell glamorous St. Moritz and embark on a spectacular journey through the Swiss Alps. Travel along some of Switzerland's most scenic mountain passes, including the Julier Pass and the dramatic Furka Pass. Continue through picturesque valleys and charming villages en route to Zermatt, situated at the foot of one of the world's most recognisable mountains.
Upon arrival, admire the iconic silhouette of the Matterhorn rising dramatically above the town.

Day 11 | Matterhorn Excursion
Wake up in the idyllic alpine town of Zermatt, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. As a car-free destination, Zermatt offers a rare sense of tranquillity. Surrounded by soaring peaks, the town's most famous landmark is undoubtedly the mighty Matterhorn.

Ride a cable car to Glacier Paradise, the highest cable car station in Europe, for breathtaking views over the Swiss, French and Italian Alps. At 3,883 metres above sea level, Glacier Paradise offers far-reaching vistas, along with an observation platform, restaurant, shop and cinema lounge. Free time is provided to explore and take in the incredible scenery.

Day 12 | Zermatt – Grimsel Pass – Interlaken
Relax and enjoy the journey through dramatic mountain landscapes via the spectacular Grimsel Pass. With sweeping curves, glacial vistas and rugged alpine peaks, this route is considered one of Switzerland's most scenic drives. Continue to Interlaken, beautifully positioned between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, with the majestic Jungfrau region providing a spectacular backdrop.

Learn about the history and craftsmanship behind the iconic Swiss alphorn, an instrument once used by farmers to communicate across mountain valleys. Day 13 | Jungfraujoch Excursion
Today’s destination is the renowned Jungfraujoch in the Bernese Oberland Alps. Board the train in Grindelwald and travel through spectacular mountain scenery, passing picturesque valleys and charming villages on the journey to Jungfraujoch. Sitting at 3,466 metres above sea level between the famous peaks of Mönch and Jungfrau, it is easy to see why this destination is known as the "Top of Europe".

At the summit of Jungfraujoch, enjoy spectacular 360-degree views, visit Lindt's Swiss Chocolate Heaven and explore the unique Ice Palace carved directly into the glacier.
Travel to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Jungfraujoch and experience breathtaking alpine panoramas in every direction. Visit the exclusive Lindt chocolate shop high in the mountains, browse its tempting selection or pick up a special souvenir. Continue to the Ice Palace, where intricate sculptures have been carved into the glacier's frozen halls.

Day 14 | Interlaken – Vaduz – Lindau
Depart Interlaken and travel through the heart of Switzerland before crossing into the charming principality of Liechtenstein. Arrive in Vaduz, the country's capital, nestled beneath towering mountain peaks. Enjoy a guided city tour, taking in the Städtle, the historic heart of the city, and views of the iconic Vaduz Castle overlooking the town. Continue into southern Germany and arrive in the picturesque lakeside town of Lindau, situated on the shores of Lake Constance. With its historic island setting and sweeping alpine views, Lindau offers charm, character and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. Take part in a gentle walking tour of Lindau Island before enjoying a coffee stop at a local café, perfectly positioned to appreciate the lakeside setting.
Later, visit the fascinating Zeppelin Museum, home to an impressive collection celebrating the pioneering era of airship travel and innovation. After checking in to the hotel, the evening is at leisure to enjoy Lindau at a relaxed pace.

Day 15 | Lindau – Bavarian Alps – Munich
A scenic day unfolds through the beautiful Bavarian countryside en route to the spectacular Neuschwanstein Castle. Perched high above the village of Schwangau, this fairy-tale masterpiece famously inspired Walt Disney's Cinderella Castle. Built in the late nineteenth century as a retreat for King Ludwig II, the castle reflects the monarch's fascination with medieval romance and the operatic works of Richard Wagner. Discover the fascinating history of the castle on a guided tour before enjoying a scenic horse-drawn carriage descent.
Continue to the picturesque village of Oberammergau. Famous for its once-per-decade Passion Play tradition, the village is also renowned for its beautifully painted buildings. Enjoy free time for lunch and a leisurely stroll through the charming streets.
Later, visit Schloss Linderhof, the smallest and reportedly King Ludwig II's favourite of the palaces he commissioned. Enjoy a guided tour before continuing to Munich. The evening is at leisure.

Day 16 | Munich
Welcome to Munich, Germany's third-largest city and the capital of Bavaria. Known for its lively beer halls, traditional lederhosen and historic architecture, Munich is a city rich in culture and character. Founded in the eighth century, Munich evolved from a small monastic settlement into one of Germany's most important cities. The city's monasteries played a significant role in shaping its heritage, including the brewing traditions that continue to define Munich's identity today. This morning, enjoy a guided walking tour showcasing some of Munich's most famous landmarks, including the Frauenkirche and the vibrant Marienplatz. Visit the renowned Viktualienmarkt, which has evolved from a traditional farmers' market into a gourmet food destination. Spend time exploring the expansive Englischer Garten, one of the largest urban parks in the world, offering beautiful green spaces in the heart of the city.
The afternoon is at leisure. Perhaps sample some local Bavarian specialties, including a traditional pretzel or a freshly baked raisin-filled pastry from one of Munich's many bakeries. This evening, celebrate the journey with a traditional Bavarian farewell dinner.
